About the event

Are you curious about ayahuasca, the psychedelic tea that shamans use for healing in the Amazon jungle? If you are, you are not alone!

Hundreds of thousands of people around the world have sipped this divine drink, from Prince Harry to Will Smith, and the stories are transformational.

Many are scared to drink ayahausca because they have heard that the experience can be very deep, and sometimes difficult. You may have heard that drinking this medicine will change you forever, and that may be true.

Why do people do ayahuasca?

  • For healing from past traumas and conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD and addiction

  • For spiritual purposes since ayahausca connects us to our souls, and can show us our life's purpose

  • To release old stories that no longer serve you, and move forward free from the shackles of shame, guilt or fears

  • To connect with the divine, since ayahausca is known as the "god molecule" and gives us bright visions that help us understand consciousness, the universe and divine love in a way that is impossible in ordinary consciousness

Is ayahuasca a drug?

Ayahuasca is a type of psychedelic. In recent years, there has been a lot of promising research showing the benefits of psychedelics like ayahuasca in healing and recovering from serious depression, PTSD and addiction. Ayahuasca however, is not considered a drug by the indigenous people of Peru, Brazil and Colombia etc. In fact, Peru has legalized ayahuasca because of its spiritual and healing relevance. Ayahuasca is legal in the USA if consumed as part of a spiritual ceremony by a registered ayahuasca church. The world's perception of ayahausca is changing quickly as more people awaken to the beauty and potential of ayahuasca in helping them live a healthier and happier life.

What will I learn?

If you are curious about embarking on a therapeutic psychedelic journey with psilocybin mushrooms or ayahuasca, you may be asking yourself if you are ready for such a journey. This training will help answer your questions. Everyone is at a different point in their personal growth path, and some people may never feel called to working with these medicines. Others may be aware that there are some questions that they have about life, or some things that they know they want to change about themselves.

You will also get to know more about why some people say ayahuasca is difficult, learn about purging and how to avoid negative outcomes. Our trainers have led hundreds of people through psychedelic journeys and specialize in preparing people for deep and profound ayahuasca journeys. They teach tools that will help you navigate the difficult moments with grace and help you become more open and receptive to receiving the blessings from ayahuasca.

What is a safe ceremony and how do I know a ceremony is safe?

There are self-proclaimed shamans out there who are motivated by power or money instead of compassion and a call to serve humanity. There are also those who have caused harm to others while they are on the medicine. Our founder started Sacred Waters to create a safe container where everyone - especially women and marginalized groups, can participate without fear.

The training will explore how to connect with safe facilitators that have the appropriate shamanic and facilitator training, and have a solid track-record of leading safe ceremonies. You will learn what to look out for, what questions to ask and where to look to connect with safe ayahausca communities.
