Chocolate and Roses - Cacao Ceremony and Ecstatic Dance with Anicca

Sacred Waters is honored to host Anicca, a Nicaraguan Queen, ecstatic dance DJ and cacao maestra.

Take a moment and smell the roses. Lift a cup of cacao to your mouth and indulge in the richness and deliciousness of Mother Earth's bounty.

We love Anicca's eclectic and worldly musical selection that takes you on a journey of sound and feeling. Her warmth and rich love of life shines through in her music, inspiring a dance of bliss and feelings of expansive love.

Anicca will be the first DJ to perform in Sacred Water's new monthly series of femme-powerment cacao dances, Chocolate and Roses.

What to expect:

• A safe dance environment that is welcoming to minorities
• A space created by women, open to all, where you feel held in Divine love, and free to open up and play
• Delicious Nicagaruan cacao ceremony, hosted by Anicca
• Opening ritual and closing circle to bring us together as a community
• Non-jundgement, acceptance, consent and respect

• Opening circle: 7:00
• Cacao ceremony: 7:15
• Dance: 8:00pm-9:30pm
• Relaxing and grounding meditation: 9:30-10:00
• Closing circle: 10:00-10:30

DJ Profile and Links

Anicca is a multidisciplinary female artist of the Nicaraguan Electronic scene. Her sound is an original mix of organic house, techno, and tribal beats. Into this she weaves sacred songs and chants creating a unique experience for clubs, festivals, and ceremonies.

Anicca’s style is a merge of many artistic disciplines such as dance, painting, photography, and performance. Her roots are in the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua, therefore, she is deeply influenced by African culture and its rhythms. Considered a “rhythm giver” by many, Anicca has also been certified in Ecstatic and Conscious dance.

When she is not playing or at events, Anicca is a Science teacher who focuses on Brain Power and STEM methodologies to empower kids in critical thinking and creative design. She also engages in retreats and meaningful ceremonies that enrich her life and complement her vision that music is a transformational experience.

About Chocolate and Roses

We flow through 3 alchemical pools: Music, Medicine and Movement

1. Music: Our collective of 'Roses' are a multi-dimensional group of women representing diverse global lineages, empowered and empowering, connected with the Divine. Sensual, soulful, deep, groovy, ethereal and mystical, unexpected and undefinable.
2. Medicine: Cacao opens the heart and allows us to free our minds, connect with our bodies, and embrace our loving natures. Rose is also a heart-opener that perfumes our minds with a sweet and fragrant appreciation for the be. When these medicines are combined with lion's mane mushrooms and our special ayurvedic blend of herbs, cacao becomes an even more powerful medicine to amplify your healing.
3. Movement: We turn our gaze within, somatically experiencing and tuning into the wonderland that is our inner world. We open the pathways of perception that lie in our bodies, unlocking stuck emotions and tapping into the ancient wisdom contained in our DNA.

This transformative model has been designed by Aria Tau, Founder of Sacred Waters. With an extensive background in yoga, meditation, shamanic healing through music, dance and music, she weaves ancient wisdom in with modern day neuroscience to brings a holistic set of tools and methods that actually work. Aria works with a team of highly skilled women, trained in a variety of healing modalities, to create an ideal container for healing, growth and creative expansion.
