Goddess Rising: Femme-Powerment Cacao Dance

A Femme-Powerment Dance and Cacao Ceremony showcasing three talented new women-identifying aritsts. 

Mother Void, Afton Rose and Danusu all had the same dream: to share their unique expression of self through the medium of music, and to make people come alive through dance. 

When Aria Tau put out the call, challenging women to join her DJ Dojo, they courageously answered! The challenge was this: learn to DJ, create a unique mix, and perform it LIVE! All in JUST 6 WEEKS!

What will they create? We invite you to join us to witness their creations, dance your heart out, and join a witchy initiation ritual to welcome them into small-but-courageous order of women-identifying DJs. 

The Journey

Overcoming technology hurdles, self-doubt and the inner perfectionist, these three inspiring women have created sets that reflect their journey of finding their authentic voice through music and finding the courage to step out into the light and say, "I was born to lead! Lead as a divinely feminine, musical dancefloor Queen!"

What to Expect

• 7:00-7:30 - Doors open, connect, silent auction opens, music by Sacred Waters Medicine Musicians
• 7:30-8:00 - Grounding cacao ceremony and welcome from your host, Aria Tau
• 8:00-8:20 - Initiation ritual led by esteemed prayer-former and ritual dancer, Ishani Ishaya (Ishstar)
• 8:20-8:45 - Warmup set by Aria Tau
• 8:45-11:30 - DJ Dojo Showcase with DANUSU, Mother Void and Afton Rose
• 11:30-12:00 - Closing circle, blessings to the initiates, silent auction close, community announcements

About Sacred Waters 

We are a POC/woman-led music collective that hosts safe spaces for diverse people to connect deeply with themselves and others, heal, grow and transform through the medicine of dance, music and entheogenic, naturopathic and ayurvedic medicines. We hold a container founded in compassion, radical acceptance, respect for all, creative expression and community empowerment. We are trauma-informed and hold space for whatever there is.

This event also serves as a fundraiser for Sacred Waters.  Your contributions go to helping us continue to serve our community and make psychedelic therapy safe, accessible and fun. Any contributions above the base ticket price are hugely appreciated!

We will be running a silent auction at the event, featuring a painting from a Haven Art Collective artist.
