About the event
Yantra is a an intimate cacao ceremony and medicine music concert hosted monthly, featuring the most exceptional healing music artists in Portland and beyond. The event is a rich tapestry of world-music perspectives, offering a diversity of original music and compositions from across the globe. Expect a relaxing environment where you can melt into the mystery and magic of the moment, gently guided by the warm embrace of cacao, which opens you up to greater connection with the the Divine through the vibrational frequencies of music and community.
March Yantra Theme
Each month we honor a different deity or archetype from various traditions around the world. We explore the essence of the deity/ies and what they teach us about ourselves, each other and this journey of life. In March, we will be honoring both artists' spiritual and musical lineages, presenting Radha-Krishna, the Divine couple. These deities are cental in many denominations of Hinduism, the female, Radha, is sometimes interpreted as symbolizing the human soul and the male, Krishna, as symbolizing God. The devotional songs represent the deities flowing between states of unity (bliss) and separation (yearning).Â
Previous themes have included Shakti (the Creative lifeforce of the Universe), Venus (the Roman Goddess of love & beauty), and Brigid (the Pagan Goddess of fire, poetry and healing).
Cacao Medicine
Hostess, Aria Naidoo, will be serving a special blend of Peruvian cacao with Ayurvedic herbs and medicinal mushrooms. Cacao opens the heart to greater connection with the Divine, our bodies, and each other. When we drink ceremonial cacao, which is the unprocessed version of chocolate, we are able to experience the full and potent effect of the sacred plant. Guests are also welcome to work with a microdose (BYOM) to experience greater openness to the music and its healing potential.

This month, we have the great honor of hosting Shivani Joshi as our headliner. Shivani is a highly skilled Indian Classical Musician from a long lineage of Indian Classical musicians in India. Bio Gabaji Dev
Gabaji, a Portland native originally from Alaska, is an Indian classical musician and teacher, with 4+ years of intensive training in Indian Raag music and a background in kirtan and singer/songwriter. He is an incredibly talented multi-instrument musician who offers music in our Sacred Acacia ceremonies.Â
Gabaji has been on a path of personal healing and growth, recovering from addiction and finding his voice of truth through music as a result of his commitment to the spiritual path. He has been a life-long student of Vaishnavism and Hinduism, beginning in his youth, where he visited Amma (the "Hugging Guru"), Baba Ram Dass and other teachers who gave him keys to unlock inner peace, love and the gift of service to the Divine.Â
For the past 4+ years, he has apprenticed under his Guru in Pune, India, learning the ancient scales and songs of Indian classical music (raag music). This journey has brought more than just music to life within him, but also a deep and dedicated meditation practice, which can be felt through his calming and loving nature and presence.Â
